Roy E. Robinson, 74, of Galion, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at his residence.
Roy was born in Columbus on Aug. 19, 1939 to the late Merl and Eva (Hoffman) Robinson. He married Georgia June Boles in 1972 and she preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 2012.
Roy retired from Bucyrus Blades after working for 41 years. He was a member of Galion Moose Lodge # 303. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed travelling around the United States, collecting guns and playing dominoes. His favorite pastime was playing with the grandkids and chasing them around the yard.
He is survived by two stepsons and a stepdaughter, Greg (Lisa) Parsley of W.Va., Sunny Gail Dudley of Reynoldsburg and Brian (Erika) Parsley of Galion; three grandchildren, James, Hunter and Zoey Parsley; his two brothers and his sister, Edgar (Beverly) Robinson, Caroline E. Wiggins of Galion and Merl (Pauline) Robinson of Galion; his six nephews and five nieces.
He was preceded in death by his stepson Robert Parsley and his brother-in-law William Wiggins.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
