Rosemary L. Young

MANSFILED: Rosemary L. Young, of Mansfield and formerly of Perrysville, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021in her home surrounded by her family. Succumbing to cancer just four months after the loss of her beloved husband, Rosemary and Robert are reunited today.

She was born July 30, 1955at Ft. Sam Houston Air Force Base in Texas to the late Charles Russell and Gladys (Levingston) Buckley.

On November 4,1972 she married Robert E. Young with whom she celebrated 47 years and raised their two sons.

Rose worked at Hi-Stat for 41 years retiring in 2018 as a supervisor.

Rose loved spending time in her garden, landscaping and creating fairy gardens around the patio. When she couldn’t be outdoors, she delighted in quiet time spent at home with her family and doing puzzles. After retirement, Rose was able to spend more time with her friends, attending wine and paint events (less for the paint and more for the wine and socializing). She always looked forward to vacations especially to Virginia Beach and Hawaii. Bob and Rose took several motorcycle trips to Canada, West Virginia and Kentucky, and spent many weekends camping.

Rose’s legacy will be one of selfless giving. Accommodating and caring, she put the needs of others before her own. She will be remembered as a loving mother and thoughtful caregiver.

She is survived byher sons Robert and Johnna Young, and Russell and Tasha Young all of Mansfield, eight grandchildren Nikolas, Logan, Riley, Landyn, Gracie, Brynlee, Kaden and Preston Young; siblings Elizabeth (Bill) Hurst, Valeria (Gary) Smith, Jonnie (Ron) Barnes, Dave Saltz and Mike Griesbach along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by siblings Russell, Charles and Mike Buckley and Frankie Griesbach.

Friends may call Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 2-3 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Celebrant Jerry Wilson will speak and Rose will be laid to rest next to Bob in Zion Four Corners Cemetery.
