Robert Maurice Anthony, 88, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away peacefully to join his Lord and Savior on December 29, 2013. He was born to Orris Anthony and Hazel Anthony on November 24, 1925. He is survived by his children, Terri Laurel (Michael), Trent Anthony (Leslie – special friend), and three grandchildren, Michael Anthony, Oliver Anthony and Christopher Laurel; special friend, Sonnie and her daughters, Jody, Cyndy, and Sally. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jack Anthony. He leaves behind a nephew, Boyd Anthony and niece, Patricia Dohner and countless friends.

Bob served in the US Navy during World War II and the invasion of Southern France. He proudly displays the Bronze Star recognition on his vehicleā€™s license plate. Bob retired from National Electric after 46 years of service, and was owner of the Park Avenue Coin Shop. Earlier days found him leading Boy Scouts as a Scout Master. Robert loved being around the water and especially enjoyed spending summers at his condo in Huron, Ohio. We have lost our angel here on earth, but our loss is Heavenā€™s gain! We know we will see you again.

The Anthony family will receive friends Friday, January 3, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where his funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. Rev. W. Kent Joy will officiate and American Legion Irvin Hiskey Post #535 will hold military honors at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.

Contributions in his memory to Boy Scouts of America may be made at the funeral home.
