Rebecca S. “Becky” Kilgore

Her career as a nurse was fitting for Becky Kilgore -- a compassionate, selfless and determined woman- who was blessed with the spiritual gift kindness. Her caring nature was a natural extension into her profession.

Rebecca S. “Becky” Kilgore died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Ohio State University Hospital. She was 58.

She was born March 20, 1959 in Crestline to parents Lloyd and Shirley (Fry) Feick who survive.

Becky has been a Licensed Practical Nurse since 1981.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law: Michelle and Nick Hoover and granddaughter Karmyn, of Dayton. Michelle was the joy of Becky’s life.

Also surviving are Becky’s companion: Kenny Hollar, of Bellville; her sisters and their families: Nancy (Steve) Fensch, of Crestline; Lisa (Steve) Sand, of Lexington; Kenny’s children and their families; Amy (Steve) Cook; Kim (Hollar) Postell; Chris (Rochelle) Hollar. Becky loved being “Grandma” to Logan, Lauren, Hope, Kaleb, Erika and Karmyn.

Becky remained close to her surviving mother-in-law: Ann Kilgore; brother-in-law Bruce (Cheryl) Kilgore and Family; and sister-in-law Kristy Mandeville and family.

Last but not least she is survived by her best friends through thick and thin: Renee Rose and Diane Rinehart and very special caregiver and friend Heidi Carver.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael G. Kilgore in September 1985; grandparents: Harold and Bessie Feick; Roy and Mabel Fry.

The Kilgore family will receive friends Monday, June 19, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. A funeral service honoring Becky’s life will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. Pastors Joe Stafford and Steve Rose will officiate. Interment will be in Bellville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Becky requested contributions in her memory to be made to Jefferson Township-Bellville Fire Department and please bring or send them to the funeral home.
