Ranson D. Cole

Ranson D. Cole, 73, of Mansfield, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014, at MedCentral Hospice, Mansfield.

Ranson was born February 22, 1941 in Jacobs Carter Co., Kentucky to Arthur D. and Mona F. (Segraves) Cole. He was known for his work ethic and enjoyed farming, all animals, especially horses. His family was most important to him.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Leibolt Cole; three children, Teresa (Sanford) Holden of Mt. Vernon, Lauresa (Mike) Byus of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and James Cole of Mansfield; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Phyllis (Glen) Dawson of Lucas, Vernon Cole of Mansfield, and Janie (Ron) Stamper of Ontario.

Ranson was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, James D. Cole; one brother, Ronald E. Cole; and one sister, Janet Plew.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Music and fellowship will follow from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
