Randy Lee Gwirtz, 63, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at his home. He was born April 4, 1958, in Shelby, Ohio, to the late Richard Stephen and Madeline Louise (Romell) Gwirtz.

He worked at Kroger and retired in April of 2021. Randy enjoyed going on trips to Tennessee with his sister but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by a daughter, Sarah (Larry) Rayburn of Galion; a son, Nathan Parr of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Tanner and Madelyn Piper; two sisters, Lou Anne (Kevin) Howell of Shelby and Jodi (Terry) Volz of FL; two brothers, Rick Gwirtz and Larry (Karen) Gwirtz, both of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:30 p.m.
