Norma L. Wirick, 94, of Galion, died Friday, April 29, 2016 at Galion Pointe Nursing Home after a short illness.
Norma was born in Shelby County on Sept. 17, 1921 to the late Clarence F. and Ida Mae (Yeagle) Keiser. She married Donald A. Wirick on Oct. 28, 1939 and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1974.
Norma was a member of the Crestline Church of the Nazarene, Crestline and the Sandusky Twp. Community Club. Norma worked at Peco and retired in 1987 from Lawson’s as a clerk. She enjoyed having cookouts and going out to dinner. She found joy in attending church and she was proud of her children and grandchildren. Her family was her life.
Norma is survived by two daughters; Deanna M. DeWalt, of Galion, Ruth Ann (Criss) Smith, of Marion; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and her sister Elta M. Perrin, Bucyrus.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Fry and her brother Woodrow Keiser.
Friends may call Tuesday May 3, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way N., Galion, with Rev. Scott Buell officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline.
