Norma Jean Goss Claypool

Norma Jean Goss Claypool passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Liberty Nursing Home. She was born on February 3, 1930 in Mansfield, to George Maurice Goss and Helen Margarete Garber and spent all of her life in Bellville and Mansfield. Norma was a very hard worker. Employment included nurses aide at Richland Hospital, long-time waitress for Harold Olinger, and factory worker for Essex Wire and Therm-O-Disc. When she did sit down or relax, she enjoyed visiting with friends and family, especially crocheting with her sister Ginny. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers George and Roger Goss, sister Virginia Burson and son in-law Gail. She is survived by her husband Burton, children Linda and Kenneth Doty, Burton and Beverly Claypool, JoAnn Rhodehouse, brother Lawrence and Carol Goss, sisters Miriam Cummings, Mary Ann and Paul Perry, sister in-law Patricia Goss, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11 am at Snyder Funeral Homes in Bellville. Friends may call the hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in Bellville Cemetery, officiated by Brother Bob Rivers of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Program at Liberty Nursing Home or Harbor Light Hospice.
