Norma D. Byerly, 86, of Crestline, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Crestline Nursing Center, Crestline after a long illness.
Norma was born in Armstrong Co., PA on August 10, 1929 to the late David E. and Rosa (Reedy) Edwards. She married H. Burton Byerly on June 6, 1946 and he preceded her in death on January 27, 2000.
She came from Pennsylvania to Crestline in September 1963. Norma was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Crestline. She retired from Crestline Nursing Home in 1986. She was the owner of Crestline Cardinal Market for 10 years. A member of the Order of Eastern Star, Harmony Chapter #43, Norma also served with the Past Matron Association of District #10.
She is survived by her two sons, Barry Byerly and Garry Byerly both of Crestline; her daughter-in-law, Linda (Russell) Byerly of Crestline; her four grandchildren, Tammy (Mike) Grady, Rhonda Byerly, Christopher (Christa) Byerly, and Tylana (Garrett) Miller; her eight great-grandchildren; and her two great-great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Byerly; her daughter-in-law, Trudy Byerly; her brothers, George and James Edwards; and her sisters, Mae Patrick, Harriet Rearick, and Dessy Gourley.
Friends may call Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St., Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 25 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline, with Pastor John Waterhouse officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Fund at Calvary Baptist Church, Crestline, in care of the funeral home.
