Montie R. Luster Sr., 64, of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, following a lengthy illness.
Montie was born on July 16, 1952, in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, to Edgar P. and Opal C. (Setters) Luster. Montie was one of the nicest people that you could know, and was thoughtful of others. He was a huge Cleveland Indians fan, and also enjoyed listening to music.
He is survived by his brother, Bob Smith, of Shelby; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Luster, of Mansfield; niece, Brenda Webb; nephew, Daniel Luster; and four great-nephews, Joseph, Jaden, Tommy, and Sylar.
Montie was preceded in death by his parents; son, Montie Luster Jr.; and brother, Eddie Luster.
Calling hours will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rob Kurtz officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
