Minnie L. Bodkins, 98 of Galion passed away Wednesday morning, Dec. 3, 2014 at the home of her daughter.

She was born Jan. 29, 1916 in Vinton County, and was the daughter of Sanford and Arzila (Prieces) Dalton.  Minnie married Eddie Bodkins on Dec. 23, 1939 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1974.

Minnie was a homemaker and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Galion. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, collecting angels and spending time with her grandchildren.

Minnie is survived by her daughters Janet (Bill) Anderson of Galion and Mary Lou Willard of Hickory, NC; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

In addition t her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by, children, Alfred Leroy Bodkins, Blaine Sylvester Bodkins, Linda Kay Bodkins, Eddie Jr. Bodkins and was the last of 12 children.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 7 p.m. with Rev. Julie Fogle officiating. A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 in New Marshfield Cemetery, New Marshfield, Ohio.  

Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Missionary Clearing House in care of the funeral home.
