BELLVILLE: Mary Carol Fry passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 in Ohio Health MedCentral Mansfield Hospital surrounded by loving family. She was 72.
She was born May 15, 1942 to parents Henry Wilson & Sarah Edith (Markham) Cruickshank in Ohio. Carol was graduated from Butler High School with the class of 1960 but before graduation, she married Darrell Lester Fry on January 31, 1960.
Carol worked at Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield for about 10 years, but her greatest work was creating a loving home for her husband and their three children. She had a soft spot for cats & dogs and always had room in her house for one more.
In spare time, Carol took pleasure in hunting for a good deal at garage sales. She was also an avid reader and kept her mind sharp by completing word searches. But above all, Carol cherished time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Darrell Fry of Bellville; three children & their spouses: Sherri & Dale Spradlin of Cincinnati, Shelli & Jerry Granholm of Mansfield, and Allen & Dorothy Fry of Mansfield; six grandchildren (& spouses): Sarah & Jeramy Cupp, Amy Force & Khris Corrington, Vegas Granholm, C.J. Granholm, Dezi Fry, and Anthony Fry; five great-grandchildren: Peyton Cupp, Gavin Cupp, Jacob Force, Johnathan Corrington, and Gabriel Corrington; a sister Rita Taylor of WV; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home (81 Mill Rd) where a funeral service honoring her life will be held Thursday 11 am with Celebrant Jerry Wilson officiating and burial to follow in Little Washington Cemetery in Mansfield.
