Mary Alice Scodova, 85, of Mansfield passed away at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home on Friday, April 21, 2018. She was born on April 8, 1933 in Mansfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of Joseph and Ida (Haring) Bogner.

Mary attended the Apostolic Christian Church on Middle Bellville. She was a devoted grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mary had a love of gardening, especially her African violets and enjoyed going to Lake Erie.

Mary is survived by her son, Michael “Mickey” Scodova IV of Mansfield; daughter, Marcia (Chris) Sanna of Milton, Georgia; grandchildren, Nicole (Eric) Garlitz, Taylor Sanna, Hunter Sanna, Autumn Scodova; great-grandchildren, Ryan Marie Garlitz and Luke Garlitz; sisters-in-law, Marge Scodova of Bellville and Kay Scodova of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on February 25, 2013, Michael Scodova III.; sister, Norma Bogner Clem; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Katherine Scodova.

The family will receive guests from 9:30-10:30 am on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Funeral service will follow at 10:30 am officiated by her cousin, Jim Haring. Burial will take place at Mansfield Cemetery.
