Marilyn J. Crock, 80, of rural Galion, died Friday, February 6, 2015 at Bucyrus Community Hospital, Bucyrus after a short illness.
Marilyn was born in Bucyrus on December 23, 1934 to the late Willis and Dorothea (Ritter) Richards. She married Woodrow D. Crock on December 6, 1952 and he survives her.
Marilyn worked as an operator for the Central Bell Telephone Co. before raising her five boys. She was a 1952 graduate of Bucyrus High School. She and her husband engaged in farming and she enjoyed collecting antiques as well as travelling. Marilyn was a member of Sixteen United Methodist Church. She loved her flowers and warm weather.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, Woodrow, she is survived by her five sons: Glenn (Paula) Crock, Marion, Steve (Joan) Crock, Dale (Kim) Crock, Gary Crock and Mark Crock all of rural Galion, her five grandsons: Matt, Nathan, Justin, Josh and Andy Crock, her granddaughter Krista Gardner, her two great grandchildren Adeline and Miles and her three brothers: Wayne (Marie) Richards, Ft. Myers, FL, Jim (Rosie) Richards, Findlay and Tom Richards, Bucyrus.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion, with Rev. Pat Fruth officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sixteen United Methodist Church Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
