Margaret Virginia Hanlon, 91, of Mansfield, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 14, 2021, at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.

She was born January 10, 1930, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Charles B. and Violette V. (Yohn) Kline. Margaret was a faithful member of Mansfield First Church of the Brethren where she played piano and sang in the choir. She was an exceptional cook and her pies were amazing. Margaret enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune nightly, completing word searches, reading and playing cards with her card group.

Margaret is survived by a son, Randy (Brenda) Hanlon of Crestline; a daughter, Kim (Steve) Geary of Shelby; three grandchildren, Aaron (Mellisa) Hanlon of FL, Danny Hanlon of Columbus, OH, and Christian Geary of Akron, OH; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Ryan Hanlon; a brother, Lowell (Barb) Kline of FL; a sister, Nancy Taft of MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Hanlon; sister, Arlene Cates; and daughter-in-law, Rae-Ann Hanlon.

The family wishes to express special thanks to the staffs of Crestwood Care Center and Hospice of North Central Ohio for the wonderful care and compassion given to Margaret.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Mansfield First Church of the Brethren, 889 Grace St., Mansfield. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Tom Michaels will follow at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Mansfield First Church of the Brethren. Adhering to the church protocols for Covid-19, face coverings will be required at the church for all attending.
