Margaret L. Stevens, 71, of Galion, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital, after declining health.
Margaret was born in Galion on Aug. 5, 1945 to the late Davis and Amanda Borders. She married Rev. Charles C. “Bud” Stevens Jr. on Dec. 19, 1966 and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2002.
Margaret lived in Galion all of her life and was a member of the Journey Life Center in Mansfield. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years, sang in her church choir and always volunteered for many projects. Margaret was an avid Ohio State football fan and loved her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Jenny and Jeff Bache Sr., of Ontario, Sherri Lunsford, of Galion, Gloria and Kyle Berggren, of Galion, her six grandchildren; Jeffrey Bache Jr., Jonathon Lunsford, Zachary Lunsford, Kyle Bache, Autumn Lunsford, Adalynn Berggren, her five great-grandchildren; Geavanna Lunsford, Lillian Lunsford, Chloe Bache, Selah Bache, Titus Bache, and her brother, Richard and Ann Borders, Galion.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her four brothers, Ronnie, Dale, Robert and Larry, and her two sisters, Gloria Everhart and Ruth Scott.
Friends may call on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
