Lynda L. DeLaney Riffe Westmoreland, 66, of Shelby, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Kingston of Ashland.
Lynda was born on December 4, 1947, in Mansfield, to Charles G. and Norma Jane Gearhart DeLaney. She was a member of Journey Life Center. Lynda was a wonderful woman with a contagious smile. She never met a stranger. She devoted her life to her family and friends, and adored and cherished her grandchildren. She married her husband, John Westmoreland, on December 29, 1985 and he survives her.
Along with her husband, she is survived by three children, Renee Russell (Whitey Flockerzie) of Shelby, Brian Riffe of Mansfield, and Kellee Jordan of Shelby; five grandchildren, Christopher (Cara) Russell, Denver (Sierra) Russell, Colton Moore, Charles Janes Riffe, and Lynee Jordan; one great-grandchild, Henry Russell; two brothers, Charles David (Mary Ann) DeLaney of Pheonix, AZ and Thomas Forrest DeLaney (Connie Axline) of Ontario, OH; one sister-in-law, Ellen DeLaney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Francis DeLaney, Frederick DeLaney, and Benny Richard DeLaney.
Calling hours will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Philippi officiating.
