Loretta E. Page, 91, of Leesville, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital, after a short illness.
Loretta was born in Leesville on October 16, 1924 to the late Howard T. and Laura B. (Dewalt) Bauer. She married Emery J. “Short” Page on June 30, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2008.
Loretta has lived in Leesville all of her life. She was a graduate and Valedictorian of the Class of 1942 from Leesville High School. Loretta was employed for nine years as a bookkeeper at Burch Corporation in Crestline. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Crestline.
Loretta was also a member of the Republican Women’s Club. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed knitting. Loretta was an avid bird watcher and always kept her bird feeders filled year round. When it became necessary, Loretta would seek out others to fulfill her duty, “The birds must be fed!”
Loretta is survived by: her son Bruce and Debbie Page, of Crestline, her daughter, Arlene and John Grasley, of Bucyrus, seven grandchildren: Michelle Webb, Heather Grasley, Joe Grasley, Christopher Grasley, Doug Page, Kim and Chris Burkhart, Mark Weisman, Angie and Rodney Delaney, Brittany and Donavan Harper, many great-grandchildren, and her sister, Helen Marie Studer, of Leesville.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son Dave Page, her daughter, Rosalie Meyers, her brother, Glen Bauer and her sister, Esther Belle Hessey.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Crawford County Memory Gardens, of Crestline, with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating.
