Lois Jean (Parker) Weikle, 83, of Bellville, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 22, 2015 while surround by her family.
She was born March 31, 1932 to Dewey and Lena (Kershner) Parker in Sarton, West Virginia. Lois and her loving husband Leon, of 65 years made their way to Ohio, settling in Bellville to start their life and family.
Lois loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren playing card games and outdoor games. Sunday was her day for family gatherings. She enjoyed solving puzzles of all sorts, playing horseshoes, bowling, and crocheting blankets for her grandchildren. Lois enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, canning, and watching the birds and deer from her deck. Family reunions were something she looked forward to, “going down home” as she called it, to visit with her brothers, sisters, and family.
Although Lois was a “stay at home mom” she spent some time working in a local apple orchard, V&M Family Restaurant in Bellville, and at Mrs. Fry’s nursery in Bellville. She was loved by everyone who crossed her path and will be greatly missed by many.
