Lois A. McCartney

Lois A. McCartney, 72, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday evening, October 11, 2020, at her home. She was born October 25, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late William and Betty (Stutz) Emerson.

She retired from Therm-O-Disc and had previously worked at Cambridge Home Health Care. Lois was a devoted member of Faith Chapel and loved her church family as her own. She was a true social butterfly and made time to talk with all of her friends at her apartment complex. Lois had a servant's heart and always put others needs before her own and was willing to help in any way possible. She enjoyed shopping in her free time. Most important in her life were her family. She loved her grandchildren deeply and talked about them to everyone.

Lois is survived by a daughter, Wendy Hilliard of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Dawn (Ace) Renchen and Tiffany (Donald) Marsh, both of Mansfield; and four great-grandchildren, Adam, Alex, Hannah and Noah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herb McCartney; son, Shawn McCartney; and two grandchildren, David Hilliard and Cole Dever.

She will be laid to rest in Bunker Hill Cemetery, Butler, Ohio, at a future date. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
