Linda K. Schumacher

BELLVILLE: Linda K. Schumacher passed away Friday November 12, 2021. She was 77.

She was born April 12, 1944 to parents Kenneth & Grace (Young) Shindeldecker in Lucas. Linda graduated from Lucas High School with the class of 1962.

On June 4, 1965, she married Gerald Schumacher and they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage together until he passed away January 14, 2019. Now they are together again.

Linda worked in the cafeteria at Lexington Schools as a cashier and was a member at New Life Church of Christ. When she wasn’t working Linda enjoyed, and was a very gifted cook! She had many family favorite recipes like chicken stir-fry, homemade dressing and stuffing for holidays and peanut butter pie. She and Gerald loved to spend the day in Amish Country and traveling to Gatlinburg, TN and Florida. Above all she enjoyed time with her family.

She is survived by a son Michael Schumacher of Bellville; two brothers-in-law Larry Schumacher and Wayne Schumacher; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and 9 brothers and sisters.

The Schumacher family will receive friends Friday, November 196, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at New Life Church of Christ, Bellville where a memorial service honoring Linda’s life will begin immediately at 11 a.m. Pastor Steve Kistler will speak. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
