Linda Freeman passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus surrounded by her family. She was 73.

She was born November 30, 1941 to parents Guy & Mildred “Millie” (Watring) Wise in Ashland. Her father passed away in the line of duty during WWII and her mother later married William Yochheim. Linda was graduated from Mansfield Senior High with the class of 1959.

On December 12, 1983 she married Mark Freeman. Linda worked at Raintree for over 10 years and at Fotomat for 15 years both in Mansfield.

Linda crafted a unique way to save money: she collected $5 bills. Any time a $5 bill crossed her path she would never spend it, but instead she’d save them for special purchases. In spare time, she took pleasure in cooking delicious food for her family and loving on her dog. But above all, Linda cherished vacation time spent with her grandchildren and husband.

She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Mark Freeman of Lexington; three children: Christopher Myers of Mansfield, Suzette & (the late) John Thornton of Mansfield, and Michael & Darlene Myers of Bellville; a step-daughter Jodie Squires of Butler; sixteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law Louise Yochheim.

In addition to her parents and step-father, she was preceded in death by a brother Bruce Yochheim.

Her family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home and a Celebration of Life service for her immediate family will begin at 7 p.m. All are welcome to her funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday morning where Pastor Ron Biddle will officiate and burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
