Lewis H. Stigall

Lewis H. Stigall, 90, of Mansfield, passed away at OhioHealth Mansfield on Monday, January 11, 2021.

A devoted father and much loved grandfather, Lewis cherished his time with his family. He loved and adored his grandchildren. He enjoyed old cars, and loved tending to his vegetable garden.

Lewis was born in Greenup, Kentucky to William and Pearlie (Cox) Stigall on May 10, 1930. A proud veteran, Lewis served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was very intelligent and business minded, making his construction company, Lewis Stigall Builders, a success. Lewis was a member of Mansfield First Wesleyan Church.

He leaves behind his sons, Jeffrey (Peggy) Stigall, Lewis (Brenda) Stigall Jr., Michael (Sally) Stigall, and Don (Deb) Mayo; his grandchildren, Jeffrey (Ashley) Stigall, Allison (Cory) Prater, Christopher (Ali) Stigall, Gabriel (Morgan) Stigall, Eric Stigall, and Jenna Stigall; his great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Chloe, Christina, and Mila; numerous nieces and nephews; and his caregiver, Julie Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 59 years, Esta Stigall; his brother, Ledford Stigall; and his sisters, Lenore Bair and Roxie Johnson.

Family and friends may visit from 3:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. An additional hour of visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home. Rev. Keith Carlisle will officiate the funeral services beginning immediately at 11:00 am. Lewis will be laid to rest at Windsor Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
