Lena Deni, 88, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 at her home.
Lena was born on May 2, 1926 in Yugoslavia and came to Mansfield in 1950. She worked at Bogner Cleaners and Stevens Manufacturing Company. Lena devoted her life to serving others. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers everywhere she went. Sharing the seeds she collected from her flowers with others brought her great enjoyment. She loved children and while attending Mansfield Baptist Temple she served in the nursery.
She is survived by her sister, Auna Daxer in Germany. She will be sadly missed by her adopted family who loved and cherished her; her extended family; and many, many friends.
Lena was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 at Oak Grove Memorial Park, Lexington. Pastor Rob Kurtz, her pastor, will be performing the services.
