MANSFIELD: Kenneth Murray Zeigler Jr., passed this earthly life and is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
Remembered as a man who dearly loved his family, Kenneth passed away Thursday, January 20, 2021 just shy of his 60th birthday.
Born January 22, 1961 in Mansfield to parents Kenneth Murray Zeigler, Sr. and Janet Leann (Uhl) Zeigler, Ken was graduated from Madison Comprehensive High School in 1979. He then spent 20 years as a career U.S. Navy man, where he earned many medals. He was on the USS Virginia, USS Roosevelt and later went to be an Instructor and was recognized by the Chief of the Naval Education and Training as a Master Training Specialist.
Ken enjoyed working on cars, and was a fan of NASCAR – especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr, Dale Earnhardt Jr, and Tony Stewart.
He is survived by his wife Mary M. (Ransom) Zeigler; sons Jeremy Zeigler (Lisa Nedolast) and Richard (Missy Butts) Zeigler both of Mansfield; stepson Kyle Shields (Kira) of Mansfield; grandchildren Jacob Hammond, Hannah Zeigler, Kaylee Zeigler and Ariah Zeigler; his parents Kenneth and Janet Zeigler of Mansfield; brothers Jeff Zeigler and Kevin (Debbie) Zeigler both of Mansfield; a sister Jodie (Charlie) Mobley of Coshocton; sisters-in-law Chris (Ron) See and Terri (Shawn) DeWitt both of Mansfield, and Trudy (Scott) McKnight of Mount Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother-in-law, father In-law and step-father-in-law.
A private graveside service will be held in Windsor Park Cemetery. The Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is serving the Zeigler family.
