Kenneth Griffith

Kenneth Robert Griffith, 69, formerly of Mansfield passed away Oct. 12, 2014 at his home in Dayton.
 
Kenneth was born Sept. 16, 1945 in Mansfield to Robert and Katherine Gross Griffith.  He graduated from Mansfield Senior High and Ohio University.  Kenneth was a veteran who served our country during Vietnam, an Airborne Army Ranger, and later retired as a Lieutenant from the Mansfield Police Department.  He was a member of the VFW, AMVETS, Sons of Herman and an avid fan and shareholder for the Green Bay Packers.
 
Survivors include his wife Dianne Oakes Griffith; children Brandon (Renee) Griffith of Quartz Hills, CA, Kendra (Jeb) Weikle of Lexington, Brett (Sarah) Griffith of Medina; step-children:  Valerie, Carissa, Carson, Selena, Cole; grandchildren Herrah, Brandon Jr., Michael, Santina, Elijah, Zebadiah, Jeremiah.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents.
 
Friends may call at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West, on Friday from 4-7 p.m. with a vigil service at 4 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Snows Catholic Church with Fr. Nelson Beaver officiating.  Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery with military services provided by Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
