Kathleen Ann (Gottfried) Kapustar, 69, passed away Feb. 15, 2019, surrounded by her family.

Kathy was born July 26, 1949, in Mansfield, Ohio. She was a 1967 graduate of Malabar High School. She also graduated from Wilmington College and earned her Master’s degree in Education from Ashland University. Kathy taught school for 35 years with 28 of them at Lexington High School.

She took pride in the accomplishments of her children, her grandchildren, and her former students.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Alan, and her four children, Kent (Heather) Kapustar; Kara Kapustar; Kristen (Brian) Stull; and Katie (Ian) Cunningham. Kathy also dearly loved her 11 grandchildren, Noah and Rebekah Kapustar; Reagan, Samuel, and Ella Stull; and Camille, Norah, Myla, James, Penny, and Clive Cunningham. She is also survived by her sister, Betsy (Ed) Rollings, of Matteson, Illinois, and her two brothers, Russell Gottfried, of Mansfield, and Bruce (Jayne) Gottfried, of Granville, and their families. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Clariss Gottfried; her maternal grandparents, Walter and Bertha Buck; and her paternal grandparents, Andrew and Barbara Gottfried.

A private family burial service was conducted at Mansfield Memorial Park. A memorial service for her friends and family to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
