Judith Ann “Judy” Maiyer, 72, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015 at home surrounded by her family.
The daughter of Robert and Viola (Givens) Smith, Judy was born Nov. 5, 1943, in Mansfield. She graduated from Madison High School in 1961. On June 30, 1962, Judy married Tom Maiyer.
Judy worked for the Lexington Pharmacy and the Medicine Shoppe. She loved her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren. Judy was a member of Grace Bible Church.
She is survived by her sons Mike (Joanne) Maiyer, of Ashland, Matt (Jodi) Maiyer, of Mansfield, and Mark (Angela) Maiyer, of Austell, Georgia; grandchildren Jordan and Ethan, Allie, Ashley, Aubrynn, and Alex, Austin, Elle, Mason, and Emory; brothers Jack (Diane) Smith, of Land O’Lakes, Florida, and Kim (Gina) Smith, of Mansfield; nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Judy’s family would also like to extend a special thank-you to Tonda, Karen, Sally, and Rita for their loving care and support given to Judy.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Tom Maiyer.
Judy’s family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. in Grace Bible Church, 67 W. Main St., Lucas, Ohio, 44843, where her family will receive friends the hour prior, from 10 to 11 a.m. Pastors Marc Patterson and Wayne Presnell will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Mansfield Christian Schools may be made through the funeral home.
