Juanita Hill, the second daughter of Mary Louise Nall and James Hill, was born on Oct. 20, 1949 in Mansfield, Ohio and was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Juanita attended Mansfield City Schools and was a custodian for Columbus Board of Education. At an early age, she joined and attended Greater St. John C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Elder Walter E. Jordan. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies included playing cards, puzzles, fishing, baking, and crossword puzzles. She was also a collector of nick-nack pens, flashlights, and key chains to name a few.
Juanita was kind and giving. She would sacrifice because she thought of others before herself. She was a caretaker to her Aunt Media Bell Parker until her passing. Then she moved to Indiapolis, In. where she worked at Carl’s Super Coin Wash. Later she moved in with her eldest daughter in Cincinnati where she worked at Ryan’s Steak House for several years until she moved in with her youngest daughter in Detroit, Michigan.
On Oct. 26, 2014, Juanita went from labor to rest at the age of 65 years and 5 days. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories two daughters; Renee (Robert) Corbin of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Aisha Hill (Tyre Henderson) of Detroit, Mi.; one sister, Minnie Louise Alexander of Augusta,Ga. formerly of Mansfield, Oh.; Six grandchildren, Desire, Denisha, Eshyra, Cheyenne, Terrence, and Hasan; Six Great-Grandchildren, Zy’aria, Jackson, Quentin, DayQwan, Keshawn, Kezyiah; one nephew, Leonard T. Alexander; one niece, Elke Alexander; Great Nephews, Quincy and Brandon Alexander ; and a host of other family members and friends.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Memorial service will follow at noon with Reverend Ronald Jester officiating.
