James H. “Jimi” Walker, 39, of Ashland passed away as the result of an auto accident on February 27, 2015.
James was born on November 5, 1975 in Mansfield to Anthony and Wendy Walker. James has coached his daughter’s softball team since she was 8 years old, as well as many girls in the community. He enjoyed working on cars, riding motorcycle’s, and was involved with the Crestview and Madison Community. He loved art, history, the Beatles, spending time with his kids and family, and enjoyed special moments with his father. He could make anyone laugh.
James is survived by his wife, Amie Walker of Ashland; three children, Sarah Walker of Mansfield, Logan and Jacob Greer of Ashland; parents, Anthony (Deb) Walker of Mansfield, and Wendy (Michael) Weiler of Mansfield; grandmother, Shirley Walker; four brothers, Anthony (Kim) Walker of Mansfield, Anthony, Brandon Vassel of Columbus, and Nico Vassel of Colorado; father-in-law, David (Tammy) Harry; mother-in-law, Cathy L. Kershner , all of Ashland; Brother-in-law, Matt (Christina) Harry of Ashland; sister-in-law, Betsy (Wayne) Clemmons of Wooster; four nieces and nephew, Kimalee and Anthony Walker of Mansfield, Amber Harry of Ashland, Bryana Harry of Wooster; one great-nephew, Nathanial Walker of Mansfield; special friends, James and Tina Marie Greer and their children all of Missouri, and a Crestview and Madison Community that loved him.
James was preceded in death by his uncle, James A. Walker; and paternal grandfather, Russell Walker.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 7, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tony Pingitore officiating.
