Helen Louise Milliron, age 89, peacefully entered our Heavenly Father’s kingdom Thursday, May 11, 2023 and is now joined with her beloved husband Bud, and together once again, are dancing over the clouds of heaven.Â
Born February 13, 1934 in Greenwich to Paul and Grace (Tilton) Washborn, she was a Shelby resident for the majority of her life. She was formerly employed with AMF. Co., Autocall Co. and was office manager for Dr. Kim for twenty five years. Helen was a member of the First Christian Church serving as choir member and Sunday School teacher.Â
Helen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and looked forward to supporting them at their sporting events. She loved to dance and travel with her husband Bud Milliron, especially to the north east to see the changing of the leaves. Remembered as a gracious host who loved to organize parties, she always looked forward to baking with her best friend Katie. Her famous clam chowder and oyster soups will be greatly missed. Â Â
She is survived by her two sons, Frank (Jan) Newland and Russ (Betty) Newland both of Shelby; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; three sisters-n-law Beth Welter of Toledo, Mary Lynn Vincent of Inglewood, Florida, Ginny (Tom) Duffy of Port Clinton, OH; and several step children, step grandchildren; Â numerous, nieces, nephews and other relatives.Â
In addition to her parents she was preceded by husband of thirty three years Wayne "Bud" Milliron; daughter Cathy Biglin and son-in-law Butch Biglin; sister Wanda Palmer and brother-in-law Daryll Palmer.Â
Friends may visit at the Barkdull funeral Home & Crematory Monday, May 15, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Â Funeral services will be held at the funeral home immediately following at 6:00 PM. Â Pastor Andrew Wells will officiate with a private family interment held at a later date in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Â
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio at 1021 Dauch Dr, Ashland, OH 44805 or the Alzheimer's Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
