George J. Ridilla, 89, of Mansfield passed away Sept. 12, 2014 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus,
George was born Sept. 2, 1925 in Youngstown, PA to John and Anna Semanchik Ridilla. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Ruth, the love of his life on June 8, 1952. In 2001 George retired from General Motors Corporation where he worked as a Mechanical Device repairman. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, UAW 549, and enjoyed listening to the Indian’s and Pirates baseball.
George is survived by children Dave Ridilla of Worthington, Mark Ridilla of Mansfield, Lisa Ridilla of Mansfield; grandchildren Audra Ann (Abel) Brown, Manon Noel Ridilla, Barbara Paishann; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife Ruth; son Gregory Howard; siblings Anna Semanchik-Ridilla, infant John, Mary (John) Vargo, Ann (Daniel) Sochko, Kathryn (Michael) Hidock, Helen (John) Danko, Joseph Ridilla, Michael John (Helen) Ridilla, Veronica (David) Procopio.
A graveside service and burial will be held at a later date.
