Frederick G. Stark, 72, Galion, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Signature Health Care of Galion.
Fred was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 26, 1943 to the late Frederick W. and Cathrine (Rath) Stark. He married Pat L. Coates on September 21, 1993 and she survives him.
Fred served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Fred enjoyed football, deer hunting and loved the ocean. He was the best fisherman ever! He would catch crab, eel, and collect conch shells. He once caught a 480 pound Marlin in the Florida Keys. If you could reel it in, he fished for it. He loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by: his daughter, Starla and Rick Holland, Crestline; his son, David Stark, FL; his three sisters, Audrey Stark, Diane Stark, Margaret Stark; his two brothers, Richard Stark, Jimmy Stark; five grandchildren, Cassandra Holland, Cheyenne Holland, Ricky Holland, Dominic Holland, Noah Holland; and three great-grandchildren, Derrick, Elijah, and Dylan.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Full military honors given by the U.S. Navy and the Galion/Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail will follow the service at the funeral home.
