Frank DuVall

SHELBY: Frank DuVall, 80 passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 25, 1941 to Mary Eleanor (Farrell) and Ernest Lee DuVall in Cumberland, Maryland. He graduated in 1959 from LaSalle High School in Cumberland. On October 9, 1965 he married the love of his life, Patricia Ann (Rose) DuVall; they spent 56 years together.

Frank held many different positions with Columbia Gas throughout his 29 years of service, until retiring in 1997. He started his career with the company in 1968 at Lonaconing, Maryland as a teller. Years later, in 1976, Frank moved to Cumberland, Maryland to work as an Accounting Clerk until he was transferred to Uniontown, Pennsylvania to work as a Supervisor of Cash and Credit, and there he was promoted to Area Office Supervisor. In 1989 he moved to Toledo, Ohio to work as Area Office Manager, and then made his final move to Mansfield, Ohio in 1992 to be a District Administration Manager, where he worked until his retirement.

Outside of work Frank was involved in many different organizations, serving as the past President of the Cumberland Optimist Club, a past member of the Alhambra Wamba Caravan in 1989, as well as a respected member of Resurrection Parish, where he was an usher and a past member of the parish finance council.

In his spare time, Frank loved playing golf and fishing on Lake Erie. But above all, Frank cherished spending time with his family.

Frank is survived by his loving wife Patricia; daughter Bridgette Yvonne Carrick and her husband Jeffrey Carrick; daughter Jeanette Marie Ohl and her husband Monty Ohl; daughter-in-law Stephanie DuVall; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren with one on the way!

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his son Joseph “Joe” DuVall.

His family will receive friends 4-7pm Monday, November 8, 2021 in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 9, 2021 beginning at 10 am. Father Matthew Frisbee will officiate.
