Faithe Eileen Mowry went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 17, 2016 from Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital following a sudden illness. She was 90.
Now absent from the body, Faithe is singing with Clyde in her eternal home.
She was born February 15, 1926 to parents Lewis & Hazel (Watts) Berry in Galion and was a graduate of Galion High School with the class of 1944.
On April 30, 1950, Faithe married Clyde L. Mowry and they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage until he passed away in 2008. They are now together again.
A longtime Bellville resident, Faithe worked as a cafeteria and playground aide for Bellville Elementary School. She was an active member of Pleasant Grove Community Church where she led the singing, directed the choir, and taught Sunday school for many years.
In spare time, she took pleasure in traveling, camping in their motor home, and helping Clyde with the John Deere business. But above all, Faithe cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Chris and Earlene Mowry, of Radnor, daughter Colleen Mowry, of Mansfield; two grandsons and wives, Nathan and Amanda Mowry, of Delaware, and Matthew and Renee Mowry, of New Carlisle; four great grandchildren, Elijah, Wesley, Levi, and Anna Mowry; a sister and her husband Elaine and Marion Bowman, of Bellville; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Vivian (Emery) Armstrong.
The Mowry family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Mansfield Memorial Homes and OhioHealth Home Health Care for their care and compassion.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 20, 2016 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Pleasant Grove Community Church. Pastor Ken Kinley will officiate and burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
Contributions in her memory to the Pleasant Grove Community Church or to Gideon’s International may be made at her services.
