Evelyn L. (Mallette) Fritz, 78, of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, following a lengthy illness.
Evelyn was born on Jan. 12, 1937, in Mansfield, to Dwight L. and Edna L. (Nichols) Mallette. She was a loving and caring mom, and enjoyed crocheting, canning, cooking, word search puzzles, and feeding her deer. Evelyn was a very independent person, who was known for her hard-work ethic.
She is survived by her sister, Rose Morris; seven children, Darrell Eberhardt, Keith Eberhardt, DeeDee Eberhardt, Rhonda Swartz, Richard Fritz, Tim Eberhardt, and Scott Eberhardt; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Fritz; two sons, Mike Eberhardt and Johnny Eberhardt; and one brother, Dwight Mallette.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Robert J. Kurtz officiating. Burial will be in Owl Creek Cemetery.
