Ella G. Jordan

BELLVILLE ~ Ella G. Jordan, 81, of Bellville, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Knox Community Hospital.

Ella was born July 26, 1939 in Mt. Vernon and graduated from Amity High School.  On May 5, 1959 she married Doyle E. Jordan.

Ella worked for Mohican Manufacturing however her primary focus and joy in life was her family.  Ella always supported her children and grandchildren in sporting, school, and any other extra-curricular activities.  She was both devoted and dependable.

Hardworking, Ella was a meticulous housekeeper.  A sports fan as well, she cheered for the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers.  She even played in a softball league at one time!

Her desserts were one of a kind.  She baked the best peanut butter, pumpkin, and butterscotch pies.

Ella attended New Life Church of Christ. 

She is survived by her children Cameron Jordan of Bellville; daughter and son-in-law Ginger and Nick Kunz of Bellville; son and daughter-in law Travis and Kim Jordan of Wadsworth; grandchildren Nikki Fisher, Tyler Kunz, Allison Kunz and her fiancé Trevor Rush, and Alexis Jordan; three great grandsons Seth, Cameron, and Mason; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Roberta Burson, sister Vickie Richards, and brother and sister-in-law Biff and Susan Smithhisler; sister-in-law Sherry Burson and brother-in-law James DeBoard.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband Doyle E. Jordan, father Roscoe Burson, mother and step father Lela and Carl Smithhisler, siblings William “Tom” Burson, Sandra Porter, and Jenny DeBoard.

Private graveside services will be held in Bellville Cemetery.  The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is assisting the Jordan family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Township-Bellville Rescue Squad or to New Life Church of Christ.
