Dwight Moree “Buck” Walker, 82, of Bellville, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 in Hospice of North Central Ohio’s Hospice House.
The son of Chester and Goldie (Moree) Walker, Dwight was born Aug, 12, 1933 in Bellville. He graduated from Bellville High School with the class of 1951. Dwight was a supervisor for Gorman Rupp of Mansfield for 44 years until he retired in 1996.
In spare time, he enjoyed hunting...deer, foxes, rabbits, you name it Dwight enjoyed the hunt! He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and supported The Ohio State Buckeyes football team.
Dwight was a lifetime member of the AMVETS, American Legion Post #535 of Bellville, VFW, The Fraternal Order of Eagles post #336 and the Order of Owls Nest #1152.
He is survived by his sons Jeff Walker of Fort Myers, Florida, Mike Walker of Mt. Vernon and Bruce Walker of Bellville; brothers Wilbur Walker of California and Lloyd (Patricia) Walker of Mansfield; sisters-in-law Vera Walker of Bellville and Alice Walker of Ontario; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by, brothers Homer, Donald, and Virgil Walker, and a sister Janice Walker.
The Walker family will receive friends Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home with the funeral service immediately beginning at noon. Celebrant Jerry Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by American Legion Post #535.
