Dotty L. ''Hazy'' Hazelton, 85, of Galion, died Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Mill Creek Nursing And Rehab, Galion.

Hazy was born in New Straitsville on May 25, 1930 to the late Charles W. and Lula M. (Grandy) Hazelton.

She was a member of the graduating Class of 1948 from West LaFayette High School, and the Class of 1952 of Grant Hospital School of Nursing, Columbus. She was employed as a Registered Nurse for 40 years at Morrow County Hospital, Mt. Gilead, Galion Community Hospital, Galion, Dr. Francis W. Kubbs and Dr. W. C. Manthey, Galion. Hazy was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Stars #32. Hazy enjoyed bowling, reading, lawn care and puzzles. Her fondest memories were traveling with the Poland’s and her relationships with many friends that she loved dearly. Hazy wanted to be remembered for being kind, helping people and that “most people thought I was a good nurse.”

She is survived by two nieces, many special friends along with Deborah Wechter, New Washington and Annabelle Poland, Galion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers Don Hazelton and Paul Hazelton and her two sisters Betty Davis, Mary Ross and her friend Annie Weir.

Friends may call Friday, November 20, 2015 from 10:00 -11:00 AM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 20 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion, with Pastor Ash Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia.
