Dorothy Louise (Horne) Bolin, 88, of Ashland, died Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Hospice of North Central Ohio. Dorothy was born in Panola County, Mississippi, the daughter of Buck and Eddie Lou Horne.
Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church of Ashland and very proud that all four of her children graduated from college.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Lynn Bolin (Judy James) of Cincinnati, OH, and Stephen Lee Bolin (Candice Bolin) of Franklin, TN; two daughters, Dr. Jo Bolin Shields and Wanda Louise Bolin Fuqua (Greg Fuqua), both of Ashland; four grandchildren, Karen Michelle Raines (Chuck Grimwood), Lantz Fuqua (Dr. Elizabeth Wilcox Fuqua), James Bolin Shields and John William Shields; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter Gerwig, Hayden Gerwig, Kemper Grimwood and Liam Fuqua.
Mrs. Bolin was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Eugene “Bud” Bolin; a son, Charles William Bolin; her parents; two brothers, Stanley and Benny Horne; and three sisters, Kathleen Horne Woolfolk, Emogene Horne Ford, and Frances Horne Holder.
Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 in the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue. The funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor F.R. “Butch” White officiating. Burial will follow in Vermillion Cemetery in Hayesville.
