BELLVILLE: Don Wilson 65 passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 following a brief illness.
He was born December 2, 1955 in Crestline to the late Lewis and Leona (Thompson) Wilson.
On May 6, 1975 he married Anita Gleisinger with whom he celebrated 46 years and raised their family of two daughters.
Don worked at Design Metal Products as a supervisor for many years and retired from Lakepark Industries in 2018.
Don lived the rest of his life in Bellville with his wife Anita, his dog Remington and the late Sammy. Every time someone stopped by, he would be outside throwing a ball to his dog or mowing his lawn.
Don had many friends, and family was very important to him. He loved and supported his grandchildren at various games and events and also attended Sunday dinners weekly with his family. He lovingly had a nick-name for all of his grandchildren and also nieces and nephews.
Don was an experienced outdoorsman and loved to bow hunt and also fish. He passed on his knowledge and skills to his grandkids and many nephews. A lover of his country Don was very patriotic. Remembering his roots, he was a West Virginia Mountaineer fan.
Don was a Christian and loved the Lord; he attended New Liberty Baptist Church with his wife.
Described as fiercely loyal and sometimes intimidating, on the other hand he was very caring and thoughtful when it came to his family.
An amazing husband, father and grandfather, Don was a man of integrity and his love is irreplaceable. He will be dearly missed by everyone.
