Dewey L. Clifford, 74, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

Dewey was born on November 4, 1939, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Cecil and Hazel Warner Clifford. He retired from U-Brand Corporation. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, proudly serving his country in the United States Army. Dewey loved his family dearly, and his life centered around them. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping and hunting.

He is survived by ten siblings, Louise (Jim) Smith, Ada Culp, Eunice McKenzie, Patty Culp, Carol (Lester) Fortune, Dale (Linda) Clifford, Clarry Clifford, who is a twin of Larry Clifford, Wanda (Harold) Barton, Sharon (Jack) Reed, and Barb Wereline; numerous nieces and nephews, including Missy, Joanna (Chris), and Tim; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Dewey was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry (Bev) Clifford; and four brothers-in-law, Mike Wereline, Ivan Culp, Ralph Culp, and Willard McKenzie.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Graveside military honors will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2014 in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
