Daniel Beck

Daniel C. Beck, 54, of Bucyrus, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 5, 2015 at his home.

Dan was born in Galion on February 26, 1961 to the late Paul and Janet (McCartney) Beck.

He is survived by his son, Justin Beck of Bucyrus, his grandson, Daniel C. Beck; his former wife, Beverly Gale of Cardington; his five brothers, Ralph (Jo) Beck, Mike (Carol) Beck, Steve (Annette Glenn) Beck, Chuck (Paula) Beck, Richard (Pam) Beck, all of Galion; his two sisters, Pam Beck of Galion, and Holly Ginn of Ironton; stepmother, Elaine Beck of Galion; stepsister, Phyllis (Dennis) Herr of Bucyrus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Troy Beck; his two sisters, Debbie Leppert and Kathy Fellows; and his nephew, Andrew Beck.

Dan graduated from Galion High School in 1980. He worked for Lowes in Ontario as a stockperson. Dan was a member of the VFW Post #79, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #303, and the AMVETS Post #1979, all of Galion. A great person, Dan enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Daniel. He enjoyed working, golfing and fishing. He was a great father and grandfather and an amazing friend.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Galion, with Pastor Jeff Shaw officiating. The Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way N., Galion, is honored to serve the family of Daniel C. Beck.
