Chloie (Sparks) Lewis

Chloie (Sparks) Lewis, 84, of Shiloh, served the Lord from the age of 13. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Chloie went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2015, after an extended illness.

She was born on May 8, 1930, in Blaine, KY, to Fred and Sallie (Varney) Sparks. She was a loving wife and homemaker of 59 years, to the late Douglas “Gordon” Lewis. Jr. She resided in Shiloh for 52 years, and loved to quilt, cook, sew, and donated her time by helping others.

She is survived by four children, Douglas Lewis of Stockbridge, GA, Francene (Roger) Porter of Mansfield, Phillip (Tina) Lewis of Greenwich, and Rebecca (Chester) Ball of Shiloh; 12 grandchildren, Tammy Hoover, Douglas Lewis, Jr., Ryan Porter, Phillip Lewis, Jr., Barbara Lewis, Kristi Davis, Michael Ball, Matthew Ball, Jessica Lewis, Linsey Lewis, Stephaine Lewis, and Bradley Ball; 15 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Peyton, Grant, Gabriel, Dalton, Sabbath, Patrick, Dakota, Joshua, Xander, Zoie, Paisley, Jaelyn, Bryson, and Easton; and one brother, Homer Sparks of St Mary’s, OH.

Chloie was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas “Gordon” Lewis; one son, Timothy E. Lewis; four brothers; and five sisters.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 with Pastor Craig Stone and Pastor Larry Hill, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park, Lexington, OH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland.
