Charles F. Rowalt, 72, of Galion, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Galion Community Hospital, Galion, after a short illness.

Charles was born in Bucyrus on June 27, 1942, to the late Frederick and Kathryn (Grover) Rowalt. He married Sharon McManaway on June 19, 1980, and she survives him.

He was employed for 20 years at Teynor Mobile Home Center, Bucyrus and then worked as an over the road truck driver. Charles spent the last several years managing the Spring Valley Mobile Home Park. He was a member of the NRA and the Bass Fisherman Association. He enjoyed gold prospecting and model airplanes.

He is survived by four sons, and a daughter, Greg of Mansfield, Doug, Steve, and Charles of Galion, and Shelia of Bucyrus; his step-daughter Pamela Gifford of Bucyrus and two step-sons, Jerry and Brian Gifford of Bucyrus; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; special friends Jerry & Stella Teynor; and special "daughter" Charity & Rick Parsons.

He was preceded in death by two infant sisters, Joanne & Mary Kathryn and his step-granddaughter, Kelly Jo Bloomfield.
