Catherine Marie Dean, 39, resident of Tiro, died Monday, April 3, 2017 peacefully at home following a brief illness.

Born Feb. 22, 1978 in Shelby to Ronald A. and Deborah J. (Ryman) Dean, she had been a lifelong Tiro resident. Catherine graduated class of ’96 from Buckeye Central High School.

Catherine was a member of Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church in Tiro, Ohio. She had a great sense of humor and a very easy-going personality. She enjoyed camping, trivia, cards, music, animals, flowers, a big fan of Tweety Bird and most of all, spending time with her daughter, her family, her friends and her cats.

Survivors include her daughter, Trinity Byrd; mother, Deborah Dean, of Tiro; siblings, Jennifer Dean, of Shelby, David Dean and Nathan Dean, both of Tiro; niece and nephews Tristin, Jesslayn, and Carson Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Dean; maternal grandparents Elmer “Pete” and Jean Ryman; paternal grandfather, Robert Dean Sr.; and maternal uncle Jack Ryman.

Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory. Pastor Blanche Tyree of the First Lutheran Church in Plymouth and Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Shiloh will officiate. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m.
