Caroline “Kelly” E. Beard, 94, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on March 1, 2023 at Apostolic Christian Home. She was born in Mansfield on June 7, 1928 to the late Herman and Hazel (Jones) Domka.
Kelly was a 1946 class graduate of Madison High School. She had worked for 26 years at Therm-O-Disc. She loved reading and crafting with her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and needle point. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Mansfield.
Kelly is survived by her children, David (Geralyn) Beard of Samaria, MI, Edward (Denise) Beard of Sardis, OH and Lorentz (Donna) Beard of Mansfield; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; half-brother, William Domka; half-sister, Helen Reeves; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph H. Beard; two brothers, Frederick Jones and Stephen Domka; three sisters, Marjorie Dawson, Rachel Rust and Rhea Beery; grandson, Jesse Beard; and great-grandson, Emil Beard.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Wappner Funeral Directors – Mansfield, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio 44902. A service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Apostolic Christian Church, 84 Illinois Ave., Mansfield, Ohio 44905, and beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Masters officiating.
Additional visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
She will be laid to rest in Lantz Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Lantz Cemetery, 1253 State Route 39, Mansfield, Ohio 44903.
