ONTARIO: Bernard Wesley “Bernie” Anders Jr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, Wednesday, May 17, 2023. He was 67.
He was born August 27, 1955 in Zanesville to parents Bernard W. & Maxine (Dalton) Anders Sr.
Bernie started his Kroger career as a bag boy at 15. During his 42 years of dedication and commitment to Kroger he strived for excellence in every job title he earned, retiring as a district manager in the Columbus area.
In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia and golfing with friends. Bernie also loved to watch tv, sports, news, and Jeopardy.
He is survived by his loving wife Erica Anders; daughters Jessica Crist and Mackenzi (Michael Ziegman) Otto; grandsons Tanner and Lane Crist, and Malcolm Ziegman and his brother Jon (Lori) Anders.
Bernie was preceded in death by his parents.
His family will receive friends 2-4pm Saturday, May 20, 2023 in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home.
