Barbara May Potts

Barbara May Potts, 81, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 while in the care of Liberty Nursing Center.

She was born March 7, 1933 in Cleveland to John Gardner and Edna Martin. She enjoyed traveling, playing pinochle, and taking care of children. Barbara was a very kind hearted person and was very active in volunteering for the Cub Scouts. She was a member Mansfield First Assembly of God.

Barbara is survived by six sons, Michael Potts (fiancé, Jody Schoenfelt), of Mansfield, Robert (Dawn) Potts of Minnesota, Brian Potts of Virginia, Jim (Libby) Potts of Idaho, Jon (Dale) Potts of Florida, Jeri (Barb) Potts of Seville; ten grandchildren, Levi, Robert, Eleanor, Rachel, Leah, Harrison, Joe, Valerie, Jody and Jeanette Potts; and two brothers, Jack Sherman of South Carolina and David Gardner of California.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jef Potts; and her first husband, Robert Ahlers.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2014 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Werner-Gompf Funeral Services.
