Barbara A. Patton

Barbara A. Patton, 79, of Galion, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 at her home.

Barb was born in Glendale, California on Nov. 24, 1936 to the late Larry and Helen (Schopeck) Wilson and her late step-father Harvey Wilson.

Barb came to Galion in 1968 and was a certified nurse’s assistant at Galion Hospital and worked in nursing homes until her retirement. Barb enjoyed taking care of the elderly. Barb was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #303, Galion and the Galion Hospital Auxiliary.

A beautiful woman, Barb also modeled for Loreal. Barb was an avid animal lover, especially her dogs Jessy and Kashshay.

Barb is survived by her children; Richard and Katie Flannery, of Crestline, and Alana Conners and her friend Danny, Dresden, her grandchildren; Chad Flannery, of Denver, Colorado, Shannon Flannery, of Denver, Colorado, Dustin and Janeen Flynn, of Galion, Ashley and Jon Washington, of Galion; her great-grandchildren; Bailey Flannery, Brianna Flannery, Natasia Conners, Jaleel Brown, Colton Flynn, Jasmine Clingman, Jakarian Washington, Karmani Washington, Cameron Flynn, K’Lon Devoil, of Denver, Colorado, Easton Flannery, of Denver, Colorado, step-grandchildren; Mike Mudge, of Denver, Colorado, Shantel Mudge, of Denver, Colorado, Payton Balmforth, of Denver, Colorado, brother; Don and Joan Williams, of Los Angeles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barb was preceded in death by her daughter; Debra L. Flannery and her great-grandson; Nicholas Flynn.

Friends may call on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. A service by the Galion Women of the Moose Chapter 177 will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Graveside services will be held in Fairview Cemetery on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 at 1:30 p.m., with Elder Buddy Walters officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crawford County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
